Breast Augmentation with Lift

Changes in a woman’s breasts over time may lead to loss of breast shape and volume. This may occur due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss and aging. Often, a patient’s cosmetic concerns cannot be addressed by adding volume alone (breast augmentation) or a breast lift alone (mastopexy).

A breast augmentation with lift (mastopexy) addresses the loss of volume (typically in the upper pole) and tightening of the skin envelope to elevate and shape the breast. This will also raise the nipple position into a centred position for the best cosmetic results.

  • Scars are typically around the areola, often with a vertical extension below the areolae and sometimes an additional horizontal scar in the breast crease for skin tightening and shaping.

  • The procedure is carried out under general anesthesia.

  • Procedure time is usually around 2 -2.5 hours.

  • Recovery time ranges from 2-4 weeks with upper body exercises resuming by 4 weeks.
