Dr. Mary-Helen Mahoney

Dr. Mary-Helen Mahoney is a dedicated Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon based in Toronto, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Her medical education commenced at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, culminating in her graduation in 2006. Her academic journey was marked by recognition, including being honoured with the General Proficiency Prize for academic excellence. Dr. Mahoney further refined her surgical skills during her Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Toronto, completing her training in 2011. Throughout this period, she engaged in academic research, contributing to numerous publications and presentations both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mahoney is the Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, where she continues to contribute positively to her patients' well-being through her surgical expertise.

Dr. Mahoney maintains an active interest in clinical outcomes research, particularly within the domain of breast surgery, and is devoted to the mentorship and skill development of upcoming surgical practitioners. Dr. Mahoney is a Surgeon-Teacher within the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. Her surgical focus spans a wide spectrum, including breast surgery (both cosmetic and reconstructive), body contouring surgery, post-weight loss surgery, non-surgical facial treatments, and skin cancer treatment. She continues to speak and teach as an expert on breast surgery and breast reconstruction.

As an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Mahoney is committed to staying abreast of advancements in her field.
